I met Vito at the 36th Combat Engineer reunion in the fall of 2005.   We had a great time talking and as promised, he wrote to me and sent me some great photos.   I am hoping to add more to his page in the near future and we are looking foward to seeing each other again at this year's reunion in late September.

This photo was taking as Vito, his father and the rest of gang left Plattsburg on March 11, 1942.  They were heading out to Fort Bragg, and from there the coast of North Africa in November of the same year.

The following photo shows Cupertino, Prizzy and Artie.  I need to obtain the name of the other man from Vito.

"...I don't recall if I told you we had a reunion with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC, 4-20-06, which Helen and I attended.  We were treated very well and had a good time.
