A Salute to Veterans - Michigan Event June 2007
Posted by: Walt's Daughter - 05-05-2007, 12:46 PM - Forum: ANYTHING WWII - Replies (5)

As many of you know, our moderator Reg (Lennon) is flying to the states in June. He will be in Michigan for several days and we are going to meet at the event listed below. Don Burgett of the 101st Airborne has been invited to set up a booth there and it should be a fun day for all.

Reenactors, WWII vehicles, a USO show, and much more! Count me in! :pdt12:

If you live in the area, consider attending. Sounds like fun! Can't wait.

  Photo Archive 1940's

A great selection of photographs by various photographers during the war. Many of these are from the archives so the photographers are unknown. Some of these I have never seen before. :armata_PDT_37:

Yup this site is now defunct! Too bad. Another one bites the dust... That site is GONE!

Oooo, if you haven't seen this one yet, this show is worth a look. It's my second time around and I just love it. Lee had it on when I returned from my morning walk, so I only missed a couple minutes of it.

It's filled with GREAT shots, lots of action and very good interviews with Spitfire pilots. Man, love the sound of those Merlin engines. What a fantastic aircraft! :armata_PDT_37:

It's only on for a few more minutes, sorry. But catch it when it comes on again people.

A warm welcome to Moose's buddies
Posted by: Walt's Daughter - 05-05-2007, 08:20 AM - Forum: Reenactors Corner - Replies (22)

I thought it would be nice to take a few moments this morning to welcome all of Moose's buddies who have recently signed up as new members. I've noticed there were quite a few of you, so I am extending a public welcome to the whole gang!

Any friend of Moose's is a friend of mine. Cheers! :drinkin:

I really hope to meet all of you someday if I ever get to England, and that is of my goal's in life. After all, my husband is part English and some of his family are from Chard on the Avon.
