It seems I must have missed this. Not sure how. I'm sorry to see John go, since it seems he was one of the last. I remember the lively discussions we had with all of the WWII vets when I first came on the forum in 2007. Now it seems there hasn't been any of them in a long while.
It's a sad thing that seems to mark the end of the WWII generation. I met John and many of the others at the 2011 Engineers reunion. I was lucky to have had that.
