A new temporary esxibition is running now until September 2015 on the Liberation of Florence.

From "Army news" of the 23rd August 1944: "LIBERATION OF FLORENCE COMPLETE NAPLES, Tuesday.-Men of the 8th Army have completed the liberation of Florence. The city is now firmly in Allied hands. Patrols have pushed beyond the city."

Army News was published in Darwin, Australia
