  EAGLE FLY"S
Posted by: Cadetat6 - 05-12-2005, 09:52 AM - Forum: The Papa Art Section! - Replies (1)

EAGLE FLYâ€S

A mother eagle builds a comfortable nest for her young, padding it with feathers from her own breast, But the God-given instinct that builds that secure nest also forces the eaglets out of it before long.. Eagles are made to fly, and the mother will not fail to teach them. Only then will they become what they are meant to be.

So one day the mother eagle will disturb the twigs of the nest, making it an uncomfortable place to stay. Then she will pick up a perplexed eaglet, soar into the sky and drop it. The little bird will begin to free-fall. Where is Mama now? She is not far away. Quiickly she will sweep under and catch the fledgling on one strong wing. She will repeat this exercise until each eaglet is capable of flying on its own..

sent a package to Iraq this week
Posted by: Walt's Daughter - 05-10-2005, 07:12 PM - Forum: Current Events - Replies (5)

I finally got off my behind and sent a care package to my engineer buddy in Iraq this week. His wife Lynette gave me a list of some of his favorite things and I made sure I included them. So I got to go shopping in our little country store. That was fun.

Ben I hope the package gets to you okay and nothing is melted, especially the cheese. Though I suppose you could make grilled cheese sandwiches! :D

According to a post on Trigger Time by my friend Don Burgett, Dick Winter's will be awarded his CMOH. Stay tuned to more news. This is what Don had to say,

"Last night I spoke with an informed individual, will not reveal the name. and I cannot confirm or deny. The scource told me that Major winters' CMOH has been approved and will be awarded this summer.

Forwhat it's worth.
