Looking for info on the 1139th Engineers, for someone who wrote to me this week.
Hi i am chief warrant officer 4 Karl Schulte formerly a Texan but retiredvin mo. I came across an info request today in Reminisce magazine from a fellow and elderly Texan. He wants to know about his deceasef brother who was killed right after D Day in France. His Army records were lost in the St Louis records fire. He was in B Company, 206th BN of the 1139th CEG - Combat Engineer Group. He wants to know where they fought and when. He trained in England and died on his 21st birthday near Chambley France. As this was part of your organization and someone in your list (Nancy??) said she had a unit history perhaps you could help.
The living brother is:
Billy C. Loden
Thank you.
