JAP SURRENDER FLYER ORIGINAL

This is an actual flyer like the ones which were air-dropped over the Pacific islands in the occupied Japanese sections. Hope you can read it. It instructs the bearer (in both English and Japanese) to present this card to an American soldier upon his surrender. One side shown here is in English. The back side (next post) in Japanese.

As we know from the veterans, there were times when no surrenders were accepted. ;) as hostilities intensified and mutlilations occured on both sides.

And where did we find this great specimen?  Very cool!

Found it on eBay...in the WWII /United States category :pdt34: I hope to find similar surrender leaflets for Germans.
