Here's more info and another great photo from MOOSE! Rock on!

HI MARION,

MANY, MANY THANKS FOR ANSWERING MY EMAIL. MY NAME IS JOE HOLMES AKA 'MOOSE'.

I AM A SQUAD LEADER OF No. TWO SQUAD OF THE ABOVE GROUP, WE HAVE 42 MEMBERS AT PRESENT, THE MOST PLEASING THING IS THAT WE ARE ATTRACTING THE YOUNGER GENERATION WHICH OF COURSE WILL KEEP THE LIGHT BURNING LONG AFTER WE'VE MOVED ON. I' VE BEEN REENACTING FOR 5 YEARS, AND IN AN AVERAGE YEAR WE DISPLAY IN 10 TO 15 EVENTS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. WE ARE ALSO INVITED TO A LOT OF 'BATTLES' MAINLY BECAUSE WE TRAIN AND DRILL SOMETHING THAT OTHERS GROUPS FAIL TO DO. WE ARE ASKED BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC WHY ARE WE ' YANKS' ? WELL BOTH THE ENGLISH AND CANADIAN ARMIES ARE WELL REPRESENTED BUT WE WERE'NT, SO THIS GROUP WAS FORMED IN 1994 AND GONE FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH SINCE. THE GROUP HAS WON AWARDS FOR ITS DISPLAYS, ANOTHER FAVOURITE WITH THE PUBLIC IS OUR SINGING OFAIRBORNE CADANCES WHILE MARCHING.

THE FOUR TROOPERS IN THE PICTURE ( LEFT TO RIGHT )....... TEACHER, MAGIC, GRANNY AND YOURS TRUELY.... MOOSE.
