Gave this gentleman info for the 97th (see my previous letter below in Oct), but he is also trying to find any possible photos, etc. on Harley Wamsley. If anyone recognizes the name, please leave a message below. Thanks!
I sent him a letter today in answer to this one. Gave him recommendations for NARA and other research organizations, etc.

Here's my original letter to him in Oct 2005:
Hi Wayne: (& Ray) I am sending this to both of you.
Well that's an easy one and something I can help you with.
The 387th was an infantry regiment and they were part of the 97th Infantry Division. In fact I know someone from that unit and will forward your letter to him. His name is Ray Repasky and his story is featured on my site. Here is the link for his page.

We are experiencing problems with the server today, so if you can't get to something this afternoon, it is only a temporary problem.
Have you tried contacting NARA in St Louis for his personnel records? Let me know. Many of the personnel records were destroyed in a fire in 1973, but there are still ways of obtaining more info, so don't let this discourage you.
You can also try contacting these gentleman. One is for the Division, and one specifically for the regiment.
