For those of you who are 45th'ers, the following towns may bring back some memories. This is taken from my dad's unit's S-3 Monthly Journal Feb '45.

On the 1st of February 1945, Company "D", 540th Engineer Regiment was maintaining highway N61 from Phalsbourg to Dossenheim to La Petite Pierre and other roads in the 45th Division area. Companies "E" & "F", 540th Engineer Regiment were constructing a defensive line from Weterswiller to Steinbourg...

Thought that some of you would like to view the Daily Journal from S-3 from my dad's battalion, the 2833rd. Once again this is in regards to the Rhine River crossing re: March 25th through 27th, '45.
