Hello all,

I opened a new photos album with photos of British cemetery from Arras .

Le Faubourg D'Amiens cemetery has 2,652 graves ; The rows of the gravestones illustrate the developement of the major allied offensives to defend Arras. The names of 35,942 missing soldiers after the battles of Arras are engraved on the walls.

For those who are interested just click the link thanks .

This is fantastic. I think this is a must read engineer story.

I received another package from my friend, Orville (Bill) Munson. As I scanned through the pages while working in the store today, I ran across several interesting articles, but one in particular jumped across the pages. I looked down and saw a photo I had in my collection. I had several names provided to me previously by my dear friend Al Kincer, but never had ALL the names. But here today was not only the photo with all the names, but an entire story behind it. And it wasn't just any story, but a very special one, for it was featured in Look Magazine.

I was always drawn to these set of photos, and in fact one of them graces my computer screen. And now a year or so later, I find they were something really special.

Here are the photos and the attached article. :armata_PDT_37: And here's to some extremely brave and special engineers.

If you have ever picked up an "Armor" magazine (the journal for all things armor for the army and Marine Corps) you have probably seen these prints. Many of the WWII ones are simply pencil drawings and look great. He has done some drawings for other eras as well; the most recent being "The Surge." Here is the one that made me think of Jeeper:

You can see the rest of his stuff at:

Another great army-centric artist is James Dietz. He has been featured on many WWII magazine covers:

Finally, the Marine Corps has their resident artist as well - Col. Charles Waterhouse, ret.
