Hello all, here's a link to a site with enough known sounds to download (V1, speeches, Stuka, etc ...):

  Info needed on these units
Posted by: Frank Gubbels - 09-18-2008, 05:53 PM - Forum: OTHER WWII UNIT STORIES AND INFO - Replies (2)

To all.

We are searching for more information about the 2nd Armoured division (Hell on Wheels) and the 113th and 125th cavalry reconnaissance squadron (mechanized). Especially the time period September 11-12-13 1944.

They came through our village and we need to have more information about them. I thought I found an interesting website about the Red Horse but my luck changed.

Do you know someone, perhaps a veteran, who knows more about the division / units?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Frank

Tunes in the II MEF (Forward) G-6

M1,

I have always been one who puts a lot of importance on music. Playing trombone for a good chunk of my life also gave me an appreciation for jazz, big band, blues, and classical.

As such a connoisseur, I brought an MP3 player and speakers up to work (I work in a room with about 20 others) and I subject them to my music on a continuous basis. I just wanted to let you know that today I was subjecting them to the soundtrack to "the War" which has original recordings of WWII era big bands.

It wasn't quite the same equipment on which my grandfather would have listened to the same tunes, but it was neat to have that connection. To my knowledge, the others enjoyed it as well.

Just wanted to let you know.

Boston Globe "Editorial" defames our military
Posted by: arve - 09-18-2008, 01:11 PM - Forum: Current Events - No Replies

:armata_PDT_19: This disgraceful editorial appeared in today's Boston Globe.

I canceled my subscription to this mouthpiece for the Left many years ago for this reason.

This EVIL crap by Steve Almond made me so angry that I had to post a response (you can see that I was not alone!). Go ahead you M1 Peeps and have AT this JACKASS!
