I am always working with WWII uniforms and field equipment. I may not have been there, but I do a lot of research. In fact, I have a project I am working on. Here is one photo of myself from my film. I will be finished shooting this coming weekend, granted, the weather holds and the snow remains on the ground here in New Paltz, NY. If you ever have uniform equipment or some sort of question about weapons, or even Film Production Questions or interests, I would be so happy to help.
Sincerely,
-Frank

I've had the honor and privilege of working with Hugh Ames, 82nd Airborne, 504th PIR, WWII, this week. Hugh was looking for someone to help him with his current site, so....
He had his site uploaded on Road Runner, and it needed to be updated, etc. So I volunteered my services, got him his own domain and completely revamped the site, as well as hosting it on my servers.
Received this a few minutes ago. I sent forwarded his email to our 36th members, and sent him my sincerest condolences.
Dear Sir:
I am writing to you in reference to my father, Joseph De Maria, who passed away this morning, February 7, 2009.
My Dad was a WWII Combat Engineer, Company I, 36th Engineer Combat Battalion, and the recipient of:
Good Conduct Medal; Purple Heart with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster;
European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, with 1
Silver Service Star (4 Bronze Stars); 2 bronze Stars; 1 Bronze Arrowhead
He served in the Sicily; Naples-Foggia; Rome-Arno, Southern France; Rhineland and Central Europe campaigns.
We are unaware of any WWII 36th Combat Engineers group in our area of Pennsylvania. We are hoping to have a military representation (with bugle taps) at his burial, tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2009, here in King of Prussia (near Valley Forge), PA. Can you direct me to an appropriate person to arrange something like this?
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.
Big week for thoughts and prayers. This is from our friend Al Panebianco:
