Looking for information on where the 2756th combat engineer battalion fought from December 1944 to July 1945. My Dad, Julius Spradling, JR., was a first lieutenant Intelligence officer during this time. I have an article I found on the Internet that showed they were attached to the 101st Cavalry Group (http://www.trailblazersww2.org/pdf/101stcavalry_part1.pdf) from Feb. 9 to March 10. Thank you, Julius Spradling, III
1...I would like to know where on the uniform was a small 2 1/4" x 1 3/4" red w/white trim and white Engineer Castle worn?? What did it signify ??? 2...During WWII, the 291st Engineer Combat Battalion wore the 1st Army patch as their SSI. When the unit was re-activated for the Korean War, did they still use the 1st Army as their SSI??

I was wondering if anybody knows if there are still veterans alive who served in the 105th Engineer Battalion, 30th Infantry Division. I met veterans from the 117th, 119th and 120th Infantry Regiments but was hoping to get in touch with at least one veteran of the 105th as well. (If you know other veterans of the 30th I would like to get in touch as well ;) )
