Haven't seen that sound effect (Budah-Budah-Budah) in print since the last time I read an issue of "Our Fighting Forces" featuring Gunner & Sarge. In that particular comic they spelled it: Budda-Budda...and it was used in connection with a Thompson, rather than a 50 cal. When I was an 11-12 year old kid I was familiar with all the 'sounds of WWII weaponry' and incorporated them (vocally) into my own pencil-drawn comic books...which drove my poor Mom and sister crazy!

Maybe if you had some extra Operation Fortitude gear laying around you could take it over there to fool the insurgents:
