Not a "Landing Photo" I know but.................

 

Plomion France (spelling??)

 

This is a photo I got from another Intel guy. I think it is one of the most poignant photos I have ever looked at. Looking closely, you can almost feel

the fear and dread as these women approach the spot where 14 of their townspeople were slaughtered by the Krauts for the shooting of another

Kraut that they "believed" was done by someone in this town.

 

Fourteen (14) men and boys were randomly chosen and subsequently

executed. As I now recall there was only 600 to 700 people in the town
