I find it a bit strange that the M-2 carbines were used in training that early as few were

made during that period. Mainly they were used sparingly in Korea as few were made

by then and in Nam still a lot of M-1 carbines were used. till production caught up.

For what the M-1 carbine was designed for it did a excellent job. Mainly to replace the

pistol in WW 2 .
