Lincoln's Funeral

I've begun researching Lincoln's Funeral for a new lecture. It is a really interesting topic. So much of Kennedy's Washington Funeral was based on Lincoln's funeral. Here's a good basic background of the multiple funerals held for Lincoln.

Fascinating. When you really think of it, this WAS the first funeral for an assassination (of an American president). I just took a brief look. Will read more later. Am in PA right now with family in Pittsburgh. Next stop is Gettysburg on Sunday. Weather is gorgeous!!
