Received this from my friend Tom. Thanks to all in advance for participating, if you can.
===========
For the past 5 years, Hamp Law has been our wonderful "Battleship Days" cartoonist for The Jerseyman. He has recently taken ill, and has been on oxygen in the hospital for the past 3 weeks. In conversations with Hamp's daughter, the doctors do not feel that he will be well enough to leave the hospital for "several more weeks." She also said that he is "down" and having a daily battle with depression.
If readers of The Jerseyman have some time, and would consider sending a few (or maybe a flood) of Get Well notes and "smiles"on to Hamp, his daughter feels sure that it would help him a lot. Mail can be sent to this address - his daughter brings him the mail every day.
