  WWII Ship Passenger Lists
Posted by: Huxley - 10-26-2006, 06:11 PM - Forum: ANYTHING WWII - Replies (3)

Hi,

I am trying to find the name of the ship that my father was on when he went to Europe during WWII. Besides requesting a form from the NARA and sending it back to them, does anyone know of any sites where you can find out what the ships name was? I know my father was in the Army and left Boston on April 3, 1945 and arrived in Liverpool on April 11, 1945. Working with the NARA is so frustrating, especially when I keep getting told that the records were destroyed in the 73 fire. ugh.

Thanks

Sandy

  Goerings capture

Had a E mail from Giles Guigard concerning the capture of Goering in May '45. Most interesting as I never realized this was going on even though being in t he nearby area

of Salzbutg Austria. It sure was a first hand bit of info I never heard about and very interesting. Truely worthwhile reading and undoubedly true. Check out the web site at

http://www.historynet.com/magazines/world_..._2/3037081.html for his interview.

Giles put me in contact with Les with a introduction so I wrote both Les and Giles. A very interesting view of wars end and Goerings capture. I doubt that something like this has came out in true form before.
