Seen this in friday 18th USA Today paper.
" Army officials are renaming seven of the main roads here. The post`s commander says it`s time to honor soldiers who fought 15 years ago in Somalia and more recently in Iraq and Afghanistan. The streets are currently named after important places from the 10th Mountain Division`s service in Europe during WWII."

Veterans email tribute
I'm sorry folks, I am all for supporting our troops; I always have and always will, but I choose other ways to do so, and not by cluttering people's email boxes. What am I talking about? An email that has been sent around and around and around (God I'm getting dizzy just thinking about it)! You know the one; it starts off, I am not breaking this... Well I am. I get it in mailbox several times per week and for that last several months. Please DO NOT send it to me anymore.
Trust me I know everyone means well, but I've even received the same email from the same people more than once.
Here's to the troops! Here's to less email of that nature!

Hi all! Found this clipping amongst my Dad's vmail
& letters. Don't know what magazine it was from, but I
think the MP may've been in Dad's company. Looks
like it says "Chet" on th back & there was a fellow with
that name in his unit.
Been besieged in here & also making trips to the Dentist
for a crown etc (ouch!), but I didn't want to miss posting
something for the Anzio D-day anniversary.
 to you all!
