    505 coast artillery

I have come up empty on trying to find the ww2 uniform insignia and anything else that might have been issued upon completion of training. Looking for battery A 505th CA AA. Also were there any company graduation or battalion photos taken .I have seen a couple for air corp but not artillery.
  2. I JUST WANTED TO THANK YOU AND EVERYONE WHO HAS GIVEN ME REFRENCES FOR MY DADS OUTFIT,BATTERY A 505TH CA AA..I RECEIVED 78 PAGES FROM THE EISENHOWER LIBRARY WHICH HAS BEEN A LOT OF HELP. WAS ABLE TO PRETTY MUCH TRACK THE 505TH FROM CAMP EDWARDS TO ENGLAND AFRICA THEN ITALY. I LOSE IT WHEN THEY WERE INACTIVATED IN ITALY..BUT I AM NOT STOPPING. THANKS AGAIN

  3. On my fathers ww2 transcript from army enlisted records it lists the decorations he received ,they were listed as medals ,he has both the medal and associated ribbon ,my father in laws transcript which is navy has the decorations listed as just ribbons ,the family has none of the awards ,lost somewhere. My question is would my father in law only receive the ribbons as described or did he get both ribbon and medal.??.

    Dog Tags

I am just throwing this question out to find what I can do with dog tags???...I found a set of dog tags from an uncle that was in the Korean war, he has no family left and no one in my family is interested in war memorabilia. Any suggestions what I can do with them..The reason I am asking is I am not gonna be around forever.
