Farewell Austin Farland Kilian, his memory a blessing

My father, Austin Farland Kilian, his memory a blessing, passed away April 27, 2012 at age 91. He served in combat in WWII -- U. S. Army, Supply Sgt., "D" company, 39th Engineer Combat Regiment.

 

After WWII he worked as an artist and professor of art and art history. Here is his obituary.

Thank you for posting that Amy and my deepest condolences on your loss. No matter what the AGE, losing a father is never an easy thing to do.

 

Here's to Austin, may he rest in peace with his band of brothers.

Just read the obit. WOW, I was already impressed, then I got to the part, "he studied in Paris.." Holy cow.

 

I'd love to see some of his works. He sounds like he was quite the man! You must be so proud.
