Here on the West coast it's still December 7th as I write this. I always watch the History channel programs about Pearl Harbor on this day, even though I have other documentaries about it. I guess watching a program like this on TV makes you feel connected to others in America who are watching it on The Day. Richard Fiske, who is featured in the program not only witnessed the sneak attack on Dec. 7, 1941, but also took part in several Pacific invasions as a US Marine, including Iwo Jima. I do not buy into the conspiracy theory about FDR having prior knowledge of the attack and allowing it to happen...No Way! |
