I have been in Ste Mere Eglise a couple of times and it is very funny to see the now pictures and knowing where it is exactly.

 

Will be back there next year for the commemorations.

I put you photos artifical port of arromanches I took during a stroll by boat.I could not take exactly the same angle sorry.

 

You will see certain caissons are still in good condition, others less or completely destroyed .

PS: Marion, to answer your question . when we go to Normandy my husband becomes very very grazy :blink::wacko: . Because , it's me driving B) . Then , I stop when I want and or I want ! For to take pictures and I can remain of hours there . :D

Hey Vee.

 

You went by boat to see them from a short distance? Never done that by myself. Very interesting. Was it your own boat or did you hire one in Arromanches?
