Reminder about E-Cards
#1

Just a friendly reminder, especially to those who aren't so computer savvy...Do not open E-CARDS that do not specifically mention who they are from. Hallmark, Mamarocks,, etc., will ALWAYS have a recipient. I was reminded of this because I received two in the last 5 minutes. I knew immediately that they were fakes, but needed to share this with all of you.

Two dead give-aways:

No recipient

and

When you place (NOT CLICK - don't do that) your mouse over the link which states, 'Click here to see it' (or something of similar nature), it will show some bizarre web address.

I copied the email I just received so you could see it.

--------------

Hello!

You have recieved a Hallmark E-Card.

To see it, click here,

There's something special about that E-Card feeling. We invite you to make a friend's day and send one.

Hope to see you soon,

Your friends at Hallmark

Your privacy is our priority. Click the "Privacy and Security" link at the bottom of this E-mail to view our policy.

-------------

The click here to see it link leads to this site: http://csk-spzoz.waw.pl/~apteka/card.exe DO NOT CLICK ON THIS!!!!!

Notice it's an executable file! Danger, danger, Will Robinson!!!

So always take your time and if it doesn't look right, throw it in the trash!!!

Make sure it always states a name and address you DO recognize, then it is okay.
