Request for photos from Panzerwrecks.com

Lee, the web creator of http://www.panzerwrecks.com, sent me an email the other day. Here is the correspondence between the two of us.

==========================

Dear Mrs Chard,

Please excuse the cold call.

I am a self publishing author producing a series of books about destroyed, surrendered & abandoned German tanks & vehicle 1944-45 called Panzerwrecks.

I am looking for original photographs (or copies/scans of) for inclusion in the book series. I was wondering if, in your dealings with veterans, you have come across this type of photographic material? If you can offer any assistance I would be much obliged.

Please see my website: http://www.panzerwrecks.com <http://www.panzerwrecks.com/>

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes.

Lee Archer

I wrote back to Lee and told him to have a look around our site, and if he saw any photos of interest to his site, to let me know and I would be happy to send him some copies. I also told him that I was adding a link to his site.

Dear Marion,

Thank you for adding my link to your site. Do you have a banner (468x60px)? If so I would like to reciprocate.

I have had a good look around your site & there are no photos online that would be suitable for use in Panzerwrecks. Is there any way you might be able to put a message out to the veterans & their families?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes.

Lee

Lee, one of my vets, James Hennessey of the 87th Inf Div, sent this Google search link to me a few minutes ago. You may have already gone down this route, but if not, it might be helpful to you.
