Bravo, let's hope that more of those type of trips will occur for future military men. After all if any of them have to pass over the footsteps of those who trod before them, let them at least have a sense of history and a respect for their fallen comrades in arms. :pdt34:

Thirty years ago a Col Marshall, retired, was a member at Ft Sam Houston Golf Club. He professed that he was the oldest infantry battalion commander in the 34 Division. We traded stories about the war in Italy. He wore a handlebar mustache, was about 5'8'' & must have been a real gogetter in his days. His daughter was married to B/Gen Tim Brown. Any one remember him? AL
