Hello,

I'm looking for information on the 61st Combat Engineers.

My dad was in the 61st Combat Engineers they were alsonon-divisional. At times they were in the 1st and 3rd Armies also attached to the 1105th, 1108th, 1109th, 1128th,1134th and other units. They were in Normandy, Northern France, the Ardennes, Central Europe and the Rhineland. They earned The American Theater Service Medal, Middle Eastern Theater Service Medal, European Theater Service Medal and African Theater Service Medal with 5 Bronze Stars.

Thank You

I just saw some 61st "stuff" on ebay! I could see that it belong to a "Bruno" from the dog tags and the name plate.

It's not that I want tons of money, but truly wish I had a budget that would allow me to buy things like this... :pdt:

Me too! I'd buy it all and hope that some day the family would want it. Like the photos....I wish I could scoop them all up and then look for the families to give them to.
