During World War II the Saturday Evening Post was the most popular magazine in America. Its covers reflected the country's enduring committment to the war effort. These paintings are among the funniest and grittiest the Post ever published. They depict life on the Home Front, the problems of civilians adjusting to the military and vice versa, battlefield action and the machinery of war. The background music is "(There'll Be a) Hot Time in the Town of Berlin" performed by Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters.

Enjoyed that very much. Wonderful, descriptive covers. No words necessary!
