Randy,

Thank you so much for all you did here and all you and others have done to push forward the knowledge that we all seek. After family consultations it looks like I will be ordering seven copies on Monday. Just another huge shout out to Lisa Sykes and Marion Chard for making this all possible. We all owe you two a lot for this opportunity. :)

This is very exciting! Thanks to everyone on this forum for all of their contributions! I believe I will also be trying to obtain a Company A photo. That is very likely a platoon photo now that you mention it. I new it was to small for a company or regiment. Thanks to Lisa and Marion for all your help! I do know that the 292nd troop patterns have been hard to follow. Considering the issue with IX army was placed under the 12th army then Monte's 21st Army Group and the 1st Army during the Bulge.

I'm just so happy that we found you and you found us, Ken! Together, we can all do these men and the unit they served in proud and honor them by documenting their sacrifice for posterity! Onward and upward, my friends, onward and upward :)

My grandfather in the photo is in the 2nd row on the far right, sorry had my right and left confused on first statement. He is standing right next to the staff sergeant.

Hey Ken,

I'll tell ya, looking at a photo of a large group like this you see so many similarities of faces. There are several men in the picture who I thought might be your grandfather, but the gentlemen in the center of this close up I thought to be the best candidate. Got my fingers crossed.

We are truly fortunate, Marion, that you created such a place for all of us to meet and befriend!. What a revelation you and this place has been! I bow to your magnificence!
