This time of year you can find a Christmas CD for sale by everyone who's anyone, but one that really puts me in the Christmas mood is : In the Christmas Mood...The Glenn Miller Orchestra. Of course it's not the Original Glenn Miller Band, but the idea for it was hatched in the 1960's when some of them were still around, but it took another 2 decades until it finally happened. The finished product is something that I'm sure Glenn Miller's original band would have approved of. If I hadn't read the liner notes, I would swear that it was the originals!

Personally, I like the original (live) recordings with the noise, laughter and applause of the crowd (GIs?).
