The 36th Engineers Still going strong today! - Walt's Daughter - 08-11-2006

The Brigade is still settling in to Fort Hood. Colonel Stevens sent me a list of the units that are in the Brigade and I thought you would be interested. The 20th Engineer Bn is presently at Hood and is about to deploy to Iraq. The 8th and the 62nd Engineer Battalions are either there or in the process of getting there. What was most interesting to me is that the 36th Engineer Battalion, our former 1st Battalion is joining them. I can't help thinking that it would be great if they could also get the 14th and the 19th Engineer Battalions and we would have all three back together again. The Brigade is also responsible for training NG and Reserve Battalions.
