After just reading "Deathtraps" by Belton Y. Cooper I will forever shudder when I see a picture of the Sherman M4 tank. The guts that it took to get back into one of those after having one, two, or three shot out from under you is beyond me...

:woof:

Marion: Nice pics Giles sent in. Giles got hold of me via E mail and have sent him a couple of my pics and some of Russ's (3-7-I Recon's) pics with a lot of back and forth E mails. Just thought you would like to know we got together .

Looking over some old WW 2 pics I cant help but wonder how we ever made out with

so litle we carried with us, and still existed, in comparison to the amount of "stuff" our

modern army men carry with them in combat.

the entrenching tool tied to pack web belt with M-1 clips canteen water

fatigues and helmet. Joe could you carry everything they carry now-a-days?

Gladyou found a buddy and I saw the pics. I can refer to them. Kinda looks

like what I saw in Italy. No tanks though, just weuns a walking. Roque

Joe we are fine, going to Ark. tomorrow Fri. be back Tuesday. Gonna see

my new GRANDSON, Matthew.
