There should be a Medal that America could give to every Brit & Scot back in WWII' for what they did. Against a superior army ( only in size) with massive armament, they should have taken you like THAT, except for one thing. They mistook your quiet way as defeatism. They forgot your upper lip. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering. You ask, what is our policy?

I can say: It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy.

To me, an American, this man was the greatest human being of the 20th century. No; of our time. Without him, there would not have been a "D-DAY"

Ever since our independance, has there ever been "ONE" other country that has steadfast stood by us, no matter what the rest of the planet thought, in our hope for all people's freedom. If there is, enlighten me.
