While the 408k road race benefitting the Pat Tillman Foundation was winding its way through a San Jose neighborhood, runners saw 95-year-old World War II veteran Joe Bell watching the event while dressed in full uniform. That’s when a number of competitors made a beeline for the veteran to offer their thanks, making for an impromptu receiving line.

The touching scene was captured by Julia Prodis Sulek of the San Jose Mercury News.

Very awesome :)

By the way I passed this along to some of the 284th and 285th guys that I email. I think it will make their day :)
