Was just informed by Troy Morgan, curator of the engineer museum at Fort Leonard Wood, that he is going to provide me with a complete unit history of the 40th, once they get the hard copy scanned. This is fantastic news.

Oh how sad to discover that the 40th's website is gone forever. It breaks my heart to know that no one was willing to take over the site and simply let it go. I realize that they might not have been able to keep it current, but couldn't someone at least pay for the hosting each year to keep it preserved? Breaks my heart. :armata_PDT_23: Yet, another one lost. Happens all too often.
