Hello all,

Just been digging into my personal library and found following publications;

44thEngineers.jpg

They were in the Wiltz area (Luxembourg) during the Battle of the Bulge.

51stEngineers.jpg

Very thorough study of this unit's action from December 1944 to January 1945.

If anyone has other publications, feel free to add them.

Erwin

As promised, I checked the book completely and found out it wasn't an official publication.

There's no ISBN number and neither does it show the usual information (edition, author, pages, etc). It has 194 pages.

I believe it was published by the 44th Engineer Combat Battalion Association and might be still available through them.

My copy I received from a Viet Nam War Veteran who is a good friend of mine. I can ask him if he has a copy left or remembers where he obtained it.

This is correct. These publications were put out by the engineering regiments, and therefore are rare. You may be able to find one, but as many of us have had to do, have someone make a copy of an original for you, and cherish it.

You can look on EBay, for I have found a few that way.

Marion, thanks for the additional info. :pdt34:

I wasn't aware they were this rare.

The 51st book is a US Engineer study.

Are they rare too or easier to find?
