See new post re 02-20-2008. It is the updated link. The one above is no longer viable.

Merci beaucoup!

Yahoo closed their webalbums so here the new link for Verdun

Thanks for the update. I try and go through the website on occasion and make sure links are still functional. I removed one this morning which no longer exists.

Thanks, I had actually tried the link in the past and had no joy. I'd love to see Verdun and other WW I & II sites but I have no idea when I would have the chance. I need to get to Europe at some time because Moose says he owes me a beer. The MEUs that go to the Med. usually make a pilgrimage to Belleau Wood but I don't think I'll be on a MEU any time soon.

Was the image of the crosses from the Bayonet Trench? I read about that a long time ago.

PS. If you've never heard of it, "No Joy" is used in the Marine Corps primarily by pilots when they can't see a target that they are supposed to attack. By extension, it has come to mean anything you tried to do unsuccessfully.

Nope was not familiar with the term, but like that one; no joy! I shall remember that phrase. Funny though, I got the jargon right away, even before your explanation. :pdt34:

Semper Fi or as the engineers say, Essayons!

Thanks. I just realized after looking at this batch of photos, you have a good eye for photography. Having been a photography buff since a young age, I can always spot someone who has good composition skills. :pdt34:

Do you ever wonder how long battles like this will keep their mark on this earth? :( A good reminder for all...

:armata_PDT_37: Great photos Martin enjoy looking . I must say I am incredibly jealous.

But I think I would go soon .

But before I need a training of GI's :pdt12:

For not having pain in legs as you My Dear :armata_PDT_25:
