From John Bowen. We were talking about the Battle of the Bulge commemoration he is working on:

 

Marion:

The commemoration is actually a be there kind of thing here in Washington which consists of a Banquet on the 15th of Dec and then on the 16th, the anniversary of the Bulge we have a wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington Cemetery followed by a wreath laying at the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge Memorial in Arlington and a wreath laying at the World War II Memorial in down town Washington followed by a luncheon and Installation of officers for the year 2007.

I will be attending the Battle of the Bulge Commemorative Ceremony and event at Arlington, VA Dec 13-16 2006.We will see the Worcester Display of Wreaths. It's Fantastic !

General Irzyk as a BN CO led the 8th Tank BN of the 4th Armored Div. into the relief of Bastogne, Dec 1944....He is from Salem,MA... a Univ Mass at Amherst Graduate....Gilbert Stevenot was an interpretor in Gen. Bradley's Headquarters of the Twelve ARMY GROUP....Here are two great photos of both...good friends....

Saturday 10 Dec, a great day for my good american friends gen AL Irzyk, and gen James Leach. Ceremony at the Mardasson and nice metings in town with the population. Al remmber you well, telling me you were like me a mover ad a shaker.With Al, we never had the chance to meet and for both of us our dream came true. Thanks for the Arlington's video. Indeed fantastic. Best regards!

Hello you all from Luxembourg,

 

It has been a while that I was on the site B) , I hope everyone is ok :pdt34:

 

Like every Year there are some ceremony's around Luxembourg and Belgium for the Battle of the Bulge and I'll try to attend some of these.

I will also lay some flowers at the Us. Cemetary in Luxembourg- Hamm and if someone of you want me to lay some Flowers on a special Grave just tell me and it's done :drinkin:

 

Ps: Marion you're doing a great job with your site I wish I had more time to spent on it :wub:


Very nice to hear from you and thanks from all of us for doing what you do for the fallen GI's. :wub:

Here is Mr & Mrs. Morrill Worcester of "Wreaths Across America", who layed the wreath at the new VBOB Monument at Arlington Cemetery....with Pres. Stanley Wojtusik.,VBOB .......This was on the Dec 16, 2006 anniversary of the "Battle of the Bulge"....
