Hi Scott:

Let's see what everyone can come up with. I will give it my ol' American try too. I usually have SOME luck.

I'll get back with you whichever way it goes.

More coming your way, but here's a start:

1303rd Engineer Regiment

Mr. James McHugh

20804 Jefferson Road

Morley, MI 49336-9560

(616) 856-7071

Try him first!

The 1303rd was a general service engineer regiment.

You may want to call on my friend Max Schwartz who was with the 1306th, which was the sister regiment to the 1303rd. I will send you his address in private.

They fought side by side in Europe, then also went to the Philippines and Japan.

More tidbits...

The Regiment played an important role during World War II with campaign credit for Normandy, North France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, Central Europe and the Asian-Pacific Theatre.

Company B was known as Patton's Fighting Bridge Builders
