    Hello Marion, no unfortunately the dog-tag had been found by a friend of mine .... Unfortunately it's been so long that I do not even remember who had found it! But I don't understand .... you had sent a letter and have received no response?

    Thanks CaptO, very exhaustive! I hope to find more information about him. I found out that his brother, Sergeant, is buried at Ft. Bragg cemetery.... Now this is still my main question .... only paratroopers were trained at Ft. Bragg or even artillery? Jean Jacobsen, I think every life is important and to be respected. I think that we exist only if we remain in the memories of someone .... Because sooner or later everyone will leave this earth, and only memories will demonstrate that we are indeed existed, for those who will stay here more of us....

    ok so at this point ft. Bragg ?? not only the paratroopers were trained them? However a friend of mine was telling me about a similar incident happened at the 91st Inf. div. in an area that I know well. He will let me know if the date coincides!

    looking and searching for connections, in the article I found the grandchildren and, the history of one of the sons.... amazing I think I've found the grandchildren and the daughter's husband directly on white pages

    sifting through the book I found the page for letters and a test letter dated December 22, 1944 declares that the soldier was in Italy.... which would never go with the parachutist hypothesis.... on another page instead I found a clipping of an Italian aircraft , taken perhaps from a book....

    Thanx, I admit to being quite excited, because I did not think to find information on the soldier who had belonged, and instead even name and serial number, it was really good!
